indexing replicated tables

  I am currently using merge replication on two servers.  I would like to add an index to one of the tables being replicated.  What is the best way of doing this?  Can I just add it to the individual servers?

  Yes - you will have no problems adding or deleting indexes to replicated tables.

  Remember  to create the index at respective databases (Publiser and subscriber servers)
