how to fix torn page detection

  Update -

  As per BOl and other articles, "Torn pages are usually detected during recovery because any page that was written incorrectly is likely to be read by recovery".

  As i have mentioned in my thread, i was able to recover the database with no problem, but the database recovered is still reporting status 16.

  Have you already tried running dbcc checkdb with one of the repair options ? (see BOL)
