Error 21776: [SQL-DMO] Error

    Hello,

    I am working on an issue that we are experiencing with our SQL server.  I have a new database that was created, and when I attempt to review the properties of this database I get the following error message:

    Error: 21776: [SQL-DMO]The name '<database name>' was not found in the database collection.  If the name is a qualified name, use [] to seperate various parts of the name and try again.

    If anyone can help me on this it would be greatly appreciated.

    What is the database name? I'm wondering if there may be a space in the name or an odd character. Also, does the database owner still exist?

    The database name is CM_TEACH_TP.

    non expert here - but I would drop and recreate the database

    You can check sp_helpdb to see if it is there. If it shows up there you might want to refresh your database list in Ent. Manager. Or even disconnect to the Server and reconnect. Good Luck
