VB6 and VB.net

  • if i have a class that uses VB.net and i use VB6 to study, and the tests on VB.net to test, then will i have that much of a difference to deal with?

  • Quite a bit. Very core concepts are similar, data access totally different. I think you have to use it. If you don't have a copy, look for an eval download - MS should have one up, if not, almost always can find a good book that has a copy included (eval copy that is).

  • well get this, i got the book yesterday for the class and it comes with a 60 day trial. but then it will not download, i put the cd in any cd rom and it doesn't recognize it. weird. i will try to look online for it today or maybe exchange my book and software.
