JNetDirect, Inc. (www.jnetdirect.com) announced today its sponsorship of the new SimpleJDBC Open Source Project. A JDBC driver for Amazon's SimpleDB*, SimpleJDBC, makes it possible to use the myriad of tools available that leverage standard JDBC interfaces to facilitate working with relational data. SimpleJDBC enables Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) tools, like Scriptella, to import or extract data from SimpleDB, with all communication taking place via Amazon's Software Developers' Kit.
