SQL Server Agent Won't Start

  SQL Server Agent has not been able to connect on the server to run scheduled jobs. SQL was installed on a server that was recently set up on a new domain and acts as a BDC. The error message is "Login failed for user 'NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM'. Any ideas on what could be causing this or how to correct it? Before the install on the new server, all was fine. Could it be a problem with the server's OS (NT 4.0) setup?

  In investigating, I also found that the built-in administrator account is missing (which may be causing the problem (?)). I believe maybe this account was removed...

  Judy,

  Are you using the local system account to start the agent or a domain account? Maybe that the problem lies there?
