MSXML 6 sp2 error for sql server 2005 dev edition

    I have successfully installed sql server enterprise edition 2008 on windows xp .

    Now I want to install sql server 2005 dev edition. I am getting MSXML error saying the MSXML 6.0 sp2 is in compatible while installing 2005 dev edition.

    The error also says the MSXML version is higher than is required.

    I tried uninstalling MSXML 6 SP2 , but I get FATAL ERROR DURING INSTALLATIOn and cannot uninstall MSXML.

    How can I get sql server 2005 installed on Windows XP?
