  • This ad is kind of 'light' on the requirements. Could you add a bit more than "expert" ...

  • Is it just me or you seem to be the expert on jobs offering??

  • Ninja's_RGR'us,

    In real estate the rules are: location, location, location

    For a working DBA they usually are: stewardship, backup, recovery

    For a seeking DBA I like to say: information, information, information

    I'm no more of an expert than the next person, but more of a legend in my own mind !

  • Come on you can't be that old???

    I was thinking expert in the terms of someone who had either conducted a lot of interviews or had interviewed a lot of times!!

  • I'm not quite as old as dirt. I once worked on an Altair computer. I even worked with CPM and MPM. Oh, don't forget PIP ! Well enough on the age thing for this century

    On the interview thing, well you accumulate a lot of experience both being interviewed and interviewing others in 23+ years as a DBA (10 of them contracting).

  • CPM??  Are you talking about a typewritter or a computer ???

  • CP/M --> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CP/M

    MP/M --> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MP/M

    I do remember typing faster than 1200 baud on an acoustic modem ... couldn't keep up with 9600 when it came out though ...

  • So that we don't all have to google it :

    AARP?

  • American Association of Retired Persons -->  http://www.aarp.org/sk/membership2.html?keycode=U5LAD6

    A 'geriatric' ? organization. However, I doubt that I will be 'retired' ... Ill probably work till my 'end of days'
