Performance counter on a SQL Server Cluster

  • Hi all ,

Can someone tell me how can I view performance counters on an active/active SQl Server cluster ?

When I have a normal SQL Server , I just log in that machine and run perfmon.exe to view any performance counters ?

But when I have SQL Server cluster , Server is not running on one node only but running as a virtual server.

So, where do I look for performance counters ?

Can i look for them in cluster administrator ?

    Thanks & Regards ,

    Harsh

  • Put the name of your virtual server in the 'Select counters from computer:' and you'll find the 'Performance objects' you are looking for.

btw. Which do you typically monitor, and why?
