Communicate Smarter Not More

  • Steve, you are so very right on this.  The plethora of communications has exactly the opposite of the desired effect at least on me.  I'm no longer a bit curious about the content of most of especially the digital communications and the expected quality of them.  Outlandish, stupid claims and descriptions have made me not even pay attention to them.  Even while still working a number of years ago, there were always those certain people who would clutter your workday with useless and bothersome meetings and messages which I suppose they thought got their name circulated.  I guess I was just the opposite.  With less name circulation I was able to focus more and I hope do my job better.

One of the best days of my IT career was the day I told my boss if the problem was so simple he should go fix it himself.
