Log shipping restore failed for NT Service\SQLSERVERAGENT

    i configured logged shipping and back up and copy jobs works fine.

    i get below Message in history while executing restore job.

    Executed as user: NT Service\SQLSERVERAGENT. The step failed

    what permission need to be added to the destination shared folder or any other rights need to be added in to server or to the agent

    It's about privileges for SQLSERVERAGENT on the folder.

    Add more privileges for the user.

    I usually set Full over that folder for the sql server agent user.

    Thanks beside sharing the folder and adding protection the problem was i initialized the secondary database manually and the restore state with set to restore with recovery .

    solution:

    change the restore state to restore with norecovery during restoring backup .

    hope it will help others.
