Hi,
I am new here, i make the tables in sql server and the forms in access 2007. when i did that i was using local connection (within my computer), if i need to access the database from another computer, what should i do? i know i have to use the ODBC but what about the server name? the name i have is for my local machine (machine name + project name).

Hi and welcome to SSC. It is not totally clear what you are trying to do here. To make a remote connection you need to use the server/machine name. If it is a named instance you would need to add "/YourInstanceName" after the server name.

When I used to Link Microsoft Access Front End to a SQL SERVER (many moons ago),
I moved Access Database to the Server and created short cuts to it on
the users desktops.
