Question's regrading LSN chain?

    Hi experts,

    We restore the tran log backup manually from Primary server to secondary server, however today morning one of the DBA had shrinked the log files(after changing the recovery model to Simple and then again back to full) of the primary DB as the drive was full and then he took a full backup of it.

    My question is if I take a transactional backup now from the Primary Db and try to restore it on the secondary server will it get restored? as the LSN might have broken due to changes in recovery model.

    I know Logshipping is a better option to do this but the management is not allowing us to do so. 🙁

    The change in recovery model on the primary DB broke the log chain. You won't be able to take another log backup until you take a full/diff to restart the log chain. You will have to restore a new copy to the secondary to resume restoring logs.
