Can I add Integration Services to an Existing Instance of SQL Server 2005 while its in use. I dont want to have to schedule a down-time of the server if i dont need to.

    +1

I would think you don't have to restart the database engine, as the SSIS service only monitors folders and package executions, but don't take my word on it.

  • For the record and to those who are interested.

You can installed SSIS components to SQL without interupting the normal service.

    Cheers 😎
