I installed SQL Server 2008 R2 Express on Windows 7. The installation went through seemingly successfully, but when I tried to login through the SQL Server Management Studio I got the following error:

I used the Windows Authentication mode when I set up the SQL Server account to use.
What server can it not find? I've uninstalled and re-installed several times, with the same result. Please advise.

Can you please post what is the instance name you are connecting to in the management studio? Also check in the instance name in the services and confirm that you are connecting to the same instance.
