This spring I presented a few sessions at the spring SSWUG virtual conference – DBTechCon.  Now that the event is over, I’ve received some feedback from the attendees and I thought I’d share it here. 

Overall, the responses back were great.  The approach for the Profiler versus Extended Events session didn’t seem to come across the best, but the marks were pretty good on it as it was.  I’m looking forward to the next SSWUG conference.

• Great job and great examples
• Jason took a very hard core SQL topic, and made it comprehensible for a novice like myself. Great presentation!
• There was a good intro example on the concept and use of CLR. What I really liked were the later examples in which they were geared toward reasons why you may use CLR such as file system / blocked processes.

• Really thought there would be more step by step usage of profiler and extended events with / without profiler, setup instructions or guide and not seeing that
• Jason and Kevin…thanks for an informative session. You guys worked well together. Just before your presentation I was in a "spirited" client meeting where they were discussing blocking and deadlocks (somewhat unsuccessfully). I am skilled with profiler but you have given me a reason to look at events.
• Now I need to get to work…
• A little deeper / demo of Extended events to understand them line by line for one thing that is easy to understand.

• Great comparison between the two tools! I had been hesitant to learn Extended Events because I can use profiler just fine. This has made me aware of reason why I may want to use Extended Events.

• This was an extremely informative discussion. Having Kevin Kline in the discussion added a tremendous amount of value.
