How to Ensure Restored Data is Perfect

  • Hi,

I have a Maintenance backup plan. And there is a 3 scheduled backups daily. If I restored latest back up in worst scenario, How I can ensure that the restored backup data is perfect data. Please anyone suggest me.

    Thanks in Advance...

  • well a restore in SQL server is all or nothing. the backup is an exact copy of the commited transaction data.

if the backup file is corrupted, the backup simply fails, it doesn't do a best guess or anything like that .

so if you are sure of when the backup was created, you can be sure the data is current up to that point in time.
