SSRS Cross Domain Subscription Issues

  • Our office is running SQL 2005 64-bit, and have had no issues with subscriptions for years until my account was migrated to a new domain. I still have rights on the server, but when I deploy the report, and create a subscription, the subscription fails. The reports generate correctly, but not via subscription.

If I browse to view the subscription, the entire "Owner: [domain\username]" is missing. I gave rights to a manger who is still in the old domain, so that the subscription could function.

What rights is my account missing? or is there a service that SSRS runs under that is unable to validate my user account in the new domain? or a setting in Reporting Services Configuration Manager?

    Any help is appreciated.

  • Maybe it's not a very common issue, but just in case anyone out there has the same issue, I ended up with a simple work-around. I created a local account on the server, and gave it rights within SSRS to modify subscriptions. Then browse using run-as, and entering the local account credentials to make the subscription.

That works, albeit - very annoying. Corporate IT did not want to get MS involved.

If anyone finds a far more elegant solution, please let me know. This may also be unique to situations with limited trust between the domains as well.

    Cheers
