How to find errors for Data Driven Subscription?

  • For a SSRS 2008 report that is hosted in Sharepoint 2007 in Integrated mode. I have created a Data Driven subscription which shows the following message on the manage subscription page.

Done: 2 processed of 2 total; 2 errors.

There is only 2 rows in this data subscription.

Looking at the created SQL Server agent job this is reported as successful, other non Data Driven schedules work from this configuration and for the same report.

How do I find what the error is, as the agent job shows as successful?

  • Have you checked things like the error log?

SSRS logs errors to a file in the installation directory. It also has, if I remember correctly, an execution log in the reporting services database.

  • I found the issue in the SSRS logs and was able to fix the problem.

I would have thought that if the SSRS had an error on a subscription then SQL Agent job would have failed.
