I recently upgraded to LiveWriter 2011 while upgrading to the final version of LiveMesh. After the upgrade I noted the new ribbon UI (see below), but otherwise can’t say that I noticed anything in the way of problems or new features that affected me. I write, include the occasional image, occasionally check the word count, and that’s about it. I had it on my list to write about (good tools do make the work go better) and didn’t see a lot out there, just this post and this post (with good step by step images).

Whether you use LW or something else, offline editing is key. Lose a post due to an error or session timeout once and you’ll get exactly what I mean!
