Error connecting to database.

    Hello, I had created a database 'offdb' in SERVER-Authentication mode and connected that database over network computers such that other computers could work on that database using program designed using VB.NET.... The system worked properly for few months but now i cannot login to that database. Login using MANAGEMENT STUDIO is also unsuccessful.... I think i had made some changes in CONFIGURATION manager so this error occured... Please help me solve it...I am already tired working on it

    whats the error you receive when trying to connect ?

    Try logging on directly on the server . check sql browser service and TCP/IP and named pipes under network configuration , also check firewalls ( windows and others)

    Are you able to ping , telnet to the remote box?

    a connection was successfully established with the server but then error occured during per-login handshake"" The error message was this type... The error number is 2146893019
