ODBC connection between Crystal Report and SQLServer 2008

    Could anyone tell me how to set up a read only access using ODBC so that a user can only extract data from SQLServer 2008 using Crystal Report. Thank you in advance.

    I don't think you can change the ODBC setting to read only. It is what it is, just a connection into the database.

    You should add the users to a Database Roll and grant the Roll SELECT permissions to the Table or View. They will not be able to modify the data.
