Are there any known issues with installing SP2, any breaking changes? Or is this service pack "safe" to install?

We have been running on SP2 on our dev environments for about 2 months now and on our production environment for about a month and have not come across any issues. That is not to say that you will not, but I feel confident in it at this point.

We haven't run into anything either. Check the documentation on Microsoft's web site to see what is being changed. Run tests on it prior to running it in production. That's the best approach.

Same thing here. But test well before applying on the prod box.
