  My PC was reimaged last week. I've since gotten 2005 and 2008 Tools installed again, but it's defaulting to the 2005 install when opening files. (.trc,.sql,.ssmssln...etc)

  I've tried changing the default program from 'open with'...'choose default' for the .trc files and pointed at profiler.exe from the 2008 install, but that gives an error when it tries to open the file.

  Anyone know of a way to tell it to change the default install to the 2008 install?

  I'm on Windows 7.

  This has been fixed.

  I upgraded to SQL 2008 SP2 and that updated the file associations to 2008.
