Merge replication - changing user and password used by the process

    I setup merge replication across a publisher and 50 subscribers using a common domain account. The account isn't just used for that service, however. (I made a bad choice from the get-go, in other words!)

    It hasn't happened yet but there may come a time I need to suddenly change that account password - which would (I'm sure) bring merge replication to an absolute halt. Is there a way (without dropping and re-establishing replication) to modify the username and password used?

    Follow the steps listed here to change the security settings. You'll need to stop and restart the replication agent jobs for the changes to take effect
