How to change background color of tooltips in SQL Server Management Studio

    When you mouseover, for example, the 'X' to close a tab in SQL Server Management Studio, a tooltip saying 'Close' appears. Likewise when you mouseover the text at the top of a tap - to show you the full information.

    The background color of my tooltips has suddenly changed to a very dark green, making the text in the tooltip illegible. How can I change it back?

    Looked all over tools | options - but no luck.

    Driving me nuts - why make these things changeable? Who cares? Just want them legible.

    Thanks for any help.

    i think that is a windows property. if you go to display properties, appearance tab, click advanced, and scroll down in the item list to tooltip you should be able to change it.
