Fulltext Search Service in SQL Server 2008

    Hi,

    We are upgrading SQL Server 2005 to SQL Server 2008 using in-place upgrade.

    In SQL Server 2005, we just installed Fulltext Search Service but never been used. So, in this while upgrading to SQL erver

    2008, which one is the best option to select:

    1. Import

    2. Rebuild

    3. Reset

    In SQL Server 2008 also we just want to install and we are NOT going to use Full text Search Service. (It may require in future but not sure when)

    Please advice

    If you aren't using fts then it really does not matter. However if there is any chance you are using fts than I would recommend reviewing for more detail about the effects of each option.
