Export to Excel

  • Hi. I have searched this forum and there are quite a few posts related to how Reporting Services exports report format into excel.

I have a Sales Invoice report that end users wish to manipulate in excel.

Originally the export returned 'Data Regions within table/matrix cells are ignored'. To resolve this I moved tables nested within tables.

The report footer contains text + Report Totals + Page Number.

When exported to excel the footer is only viewable via 'Print Preview' as the datat is exported to the Header Footer. However not all the footer data is exported. The Report Totals are missing + the data that is exported to the Header Footer loses its formatting (continous string, no carriage returns). I believe there is a limitation of 255 characters for excel Header Footer.

Not sure there is a resolution. Does anyone know of any third part apps that may help?

    Thanks,

    Phil.
