Sage Accpac locking table

    I have an issue where Accpac is intermittently leaving a lock on an important table and not releasing, so as other users attempt to post a transaction they are blocked. Sage support says I need to upgrade my SQL 2005 SP2 to SP3 before they will give me any further support. Does this sound wise?

    My question to them is if the upgrade will fix the problem. It really shouldn't matter if you are on SP 2 or SP 3, IMHO, regarding help with system issues, unless they had notified you that there would no longer be serivce for versions of SQL Server 2005 below SP 3.
