2008 SSRS Repository on 2005 DB Engine

    does anyone know if I can install 2008 SSRS on an existing 2005 host and install the repository to the 2005 instance?

    or would I have to create the 2005 repositories and point the 2008 SSRS installation to the created repositories?

    any insight would be helpful

    If I understand you correctly SQL Server 2005 is just your datasource server that is create a connectionstring to your SQL Server 2005 and create the reports in SSRS 2008 designer and execute your code in SSRS 2008.
