Hello!
Is it possible to do 2-node active/active sql-2008 cluster with SQL-server strandards (with enteprice windows server)?
How it is differend from 2-node cluster made with 2-sql server enterpices?
We have had problems setting up 2-node active/active cluster with sql-server standard. Any how tos, quides, how to setup it?

Haven't tried it with SQL 2008 but with 2005 it is possible, though not recommended. I would think that it should work with 2008 as well.

There's no difference except that you cannot use any of the Enterprise features or add more nodes to the cluster.

What are you're problems exactly ? Maybe if we see the error message we can help.

We use Active-Active on SQL 2005 Standard on Windows 2003 R2 Enterprise here, no issues
However, we did try to setup Active-Active with SQL 2005 on Windows 2008, that had issues that caused us to give up 🙁
I imagine Active-Active with SQL 2008 would work

How did you deploy SQL 2005 Active-Active cluster? With second instance? Have you tried SQL2008 2-node A/A cluster with Server 2008 EE?

Is there any step by step quides to do Active/Active cluster intallation on sqlserver 2008 with server EE 2008?
And back to the basic question... Is the SQL2008 2-node A/A cluster with Server 2008 EE bossible?
