I need to know how to audit when the DBA runs a SELECT in a particular table.
I know that SQL Server 2008 enterprise edition have the audit object. But, I only have the standard edition.
This requeriment is because another company must outsource its data in my company. Both companies have the same owner.
The request also includes sending a report (weekly) to the Sub on the findings.
do you have any clues ?
Perhaps using 3rd party tools ? Wich do you recommend?
Thanks in advance

I'd use a server-side trace. Here is the BOL Link and an here's an article[/url] on SSC.
