connection to subscriber

    when i click the start button on view synchronization status dialog box then i get an error saying ' the process cannot connect to subscriber 'name of subscriber server' '

    i m using sql authentication to connect to publisher and subscriber

    help me to resolve this problem

    Hi,

    Have you ever been able to connect to subscriber using any authentication method? If not, check you have access via your firewall (e.g. port 1433).

    I had a similar problem when the collation between the distribution & pubs database was different. I was able to change this in my system setup & it fixed the problem.
