How to add something to top of already written report?

  • I have a very large report already written, with tables, matrices, images, text boxes, etc. Now, my client has asked me to add a new table, but to the very top of the report! how can I do this without manually moving everything down?

    In Crystal Reports there was a great feature that let you insert a new section, so that you could do this without having to move everything down to the bottom to create whitespace at the top. But I can't find a way to do this in SSRS. Is it possible or do I have to move all 15+ tables down one by one?

  • Unfortunately, SSRS does not have the same feature. You can select all the objects in the report (Ctrl+A) and then move them down together so that you keep the same spacing between your tables, matrices, etc.
