Maintenance plan creation failed

    cant seem to create a Maint plan remotely.when I log in with SQL authentication remotely I get the "apply

    to target server failed" message...  

    anyone has any idea about this?

    Is the SSIS service running? Is the remote connection enabled (SAC utility)? (If you use developer edition, it's not enabled by default.) Do you have enough permissions to create maintenance plans?

    how do I enable ssis service?

    I think the remote conn is enabled otherwise, i did all my work from a remote management studio

    i'm an admin on the box
