Subreport not returning data when main report is run (RS2000)

    Hi

    I have a report that contains a sub report. Now these 2 reports do not link on parameters. At present neither report return any data, because there is none to return. However when I run the main report , there are headers being returned, but nothing comes through for the subreport, no headers nothing. Is the reason because they are not linked?

    I don't need to link them so is it possible to have a main report that has a subreport where they are not linked? I know this works fine in crystal as this is how the current version of the report works.

    I am also having this problem, but in SQL2k5. It really just seems I simply cannot find some kind of "SuppressPrintingIfNoRows" property in the Report Designer for either the main report or the subreport, though I've searched high and low!

    Anyone gotcha'd this one?
