We have two servers server A and Server B and we setup logshipping to Server B. We are planning apply hotfix 2187 both servers. is it required Logshipping database should be Online? is it ok still in loading mode? i am going to stop restore log job.
Tell me steps i have to take care.

Applying HF 2187 will stop and start your SQL service. Therefore plan to apply HF 2187 when the outage will not affect your applications.

I would apply the upgrade to B before upgrading A. Since the HF will bring the service down you need to stop the log shipping jobs anyway.
