Way to authenticate id, if coming from certain IP address SQL2k/2005 ?

  I have Sqlserver 2000 sp3. Is there a way in SQL Server 2000/2005 where I can restrict Sql/NT id to connect if it is coming from a certain IP address else not allow to connect ? Quick response is highly appreciated.

  The only way is through network/firewall or an OS firewall limit. The IP coming through to SQL Server is submitted by the client and not necessarily the real IP. By default it is, but this could easily be spoofed.
