is "sa" and startup account (domain account) are considered as clients too (if in mixed mode authentication).

not sure what you mean? If you are in mixed mode, the "sa" account can log in. What do you mean "startup account". The SQL Service account?

sorry fr the confusion.
This is a sql server licensing issue. If i have a sql server with 5 cal licences. Only 5 different clients can be connected to the server right.
My question is if we excute "sp_who" command we see "sa" & sql service account logged on to server. does that mean only 3 other clients can establish connections to the server or 5 (if sa & sql service acc does not count)
Thanks fr ur help
