How to hide a report

  • Hi

I have linked two reports with passing parameter. how can i hide a child report so that client cann't see that but he can access that report by passing parameter to parent report. I have joined these reports by jump to report property. Main report has total of team and child report has individual person detail.

  • Check the Hide in List view box.

  • Hi Mike

Thanks for reply but could explain bit more i am a new user so not able to understand.

    Regards

  • In Report Manager, if it's not already set to show details, click on the Show Details button.  Then find your report and click on it and go to the properties tab, General info.  Beneath the Description of the report is a checkbox called "Hide in list view".

  • Click on the properties for the child report. On the properties tab you will see a checkbox for "Hide in List view".  Check that box. The report will only show in the details view and not the normal list view.

  • Thanks a lot...

I checked so many times properties everytime missed that check box.

    Thanks once again

  • You wouldn't know how to do this in SQL 2008 R2 by any chance? In Report Manager, there is no Hide in List View checkbox. Instead, there is Hide in Tile View checkbox. But selecting this only makes the report disappear when in Tile View - in List View the report still is listed.
