how to keep column headers in the error logs

    Hi ,

    Can somebody tell me how to add headers in the error log file. and

    How to improve the error log files.?

    What error log files are you referring to?

    Can you explain how these error log files are currently generated, what they look like now and what you would like them to be?

    Hi Willem,

    Thanks for the reply.

    Actually When I am loading the data from source(txt file) to destination(oledb destinaton), if any records get failed or any columns in one particular record get failed, I am sending it to error log file(which is an another flat file destination). But I want the column header to each error column in the error log.

    Veena,

    Open the connection manager for the flat file.

    On the first tab (General), select "Column names in the first data row".

    This should do the trick.
