Not reading/ pulling data correctly from XLS data source

    Hi,

    I hope someone can help.

    I am creating a SSIS package data source is a XLS file that has a column with date, number, text etc so its a general data type. The data is not pulled correctly from the XLS file e.g. value 17,000 is reading as "7. Why is this?

    Any ideas/ help will be appreciated.

    Good old Excel. First place to start might be with IMEX=1 in your connection string. See here for more info.

    If you haven't even tried to resolve your issue, please don't expect the hard-working volunteers here to waste their time providing links to answers which you could easily have found yourself.
