Hi Guys,
What is the best way to move SSIS packages. I have the dtsx file and configuration files on my machine. And i want to transfer to the dev box so that the developers can work on that for furthur developements.
If i am transferring to the dev box by moveing the files physically but the configuration files paths are breaking. I mean when i open my packages on the dev box there are validation errors saying that configuration files cannot be located.
Any help Appriciated!!

I move the packages and config files to the server then fix the paths. Don't forget to set the Protection level in the packages to something other than the default EncryptAllWithUserKey so others can open them.

Thanks Greg.
Can you explain how to fix the path after moving?
Is it by deleting the config files from package configurations and then adding them again by giving the correct the path or there is any other way to just change the path.
When i tried to edit them it is giving an error. So i have removed and added them again and its kind of worked.
the error i am getting is "The path is not of a legal form.(mscorlib)"

I'm able to edit the packages after moving them to the server select "Package Configurations" from the BIDS menu, and edit the configuration file path.

Although I haven't had a problem editing a standalone package, maybe your problem is the one in this kb article. It might be worth trying the workaround?
