DATABASE

  • Hi, guys how are you doing? 😎

i am new to this website and i have a question regarding database mirroring but first i would like to give you full information how i am using it. my PC is win 2003 server sp2 and still i am using SQL server 2000 database and it has been almost 1 year. and right now, i have installed SQL server 2005, and automatically updated from SQL 2000 database. then i downloaded sp1 for SQL 2005 in order to find database Mirroring. but i can't find the database Mirroring. do you think the problem is due to 2 SQL server is installed in one server?

please guys i need your help how to find the Database Mirroring and i am not familiar with SQL server 2005.

thank you very much and have a good day

  • Did you right-click on the database choose properties and go to the "Mirroring" tab?

  • thank you very much sir.

i have found it but how could i know whether the Mirror is working i mean how could i check it?

    thanks

  • One way to test a mirror is to query both database and look for the same results. Additionally you could change a value and see if it propagates to the mirrored database.
