  HI,

  On the query, if I run 'Opendate+(CaseCrDateCust - CaseOpenDate)', it works. But when I try to do the same thing using the Derived Cloumn Trans Editor, it throws a message that the operators cannot be used in DT_DBTIMESTAMP dataType.

  any ideas how to get this thru' ?

  You might try CASTing the datatypes to DT_DBDATE since 2005 does not cast automatically.
