*Description:
In this role, you will be installing, configuring and administering SQL Server 2000 databases on Windows 2000/2003 Enterprise servers
in a multiple database server, high availability environment. In the near future, there will be some advanced database clustering and mirroring
responsibilities, maintaining data integrity and archiving data will also be a priority.
* Qualifications:
•5+ years as a senior SQL Server DBA in large database, high transaction rate production environments
•Expertise in designing and automating backup, archival, data warehouse, and cleanup tasks
•Significant experience with Windows and SQL Server clustering and mirroring technologies
•Significant experience with SQL 2000 in a production SAN environment containing high transaction, large databases
•End-to-end, full SDLC (software development life cycle) experience
•Expertise with implementing SQL 2000 databases into QA and production environments, especially in regards to load/hardware analysis mapping,
fault tolerance, and security
•Expertise with tuning hardware/SQL 2000/Windows for optimal performance
•Project management skills
•Very detail oriented
•Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
•Multi-tasking capabilities
•A "whatever it takes" attitude (friendly, humble, positive, confident)
