unable to begin a distributed transaction

    hi all,

     

    can any on eplease help  me to solve this problem. I am running two SQL server 2005 servers. i am running to problem when i try oto call trigge on one server it failes giving this error:

     

    'The operation could not be performed because OLE DB provider "SQLNCLI" for

    linked server "RemoteServer" was unable to begin a distributed transaction"

    I believe that there's a particular OS setting that must be set on the server so that you can do distributed transactions.  Sorry I can't help further.
