  • Go to the Microsoft Update webpage and download the GDI+ Detection Tool.

  • it's not working. do you have other idea. This error is not occurring in our development office, only in the client.

Client computers are running windows xp sp2.

  • Has you found a fix for this?  I am having the same problem.

  • I've encountered a prolem that MAY be related to yours.

We recieve an error when users try to use the print button from reportserver. Our problem exists on our production server, but not on the dev machine.

A month or so ago we opened a ticket with Microsoft and we've been talking ever-since. They believe it has something to do with GDI+ (Hence why I think it might be related) and have escalated it up their chain.

I do not have an answer, but rather a possible one. They've asked that I remove the display driver from the machine and reboot, cancel the installation of the new "found" hardware to force the machine to use the standard VGA driver.

My first question was of course, "How would the display driver affect printing?" apparently RS uses a lot of the settings that are set by the display driver.

I am going to test this out tonight, and will let you know.

But I thought I'd give you heads up. It may not work for me, but might for you.

    Hope this helps....

  • OK, I've had to wait until the weekend to try this and it worked!

Uninstall your display driver on your server, reboot the machine and cancel the install of the driver.

Let me know if this helps you as it did us!
