was wondering if I could get some help or thoughts on this.
We build the cubes, and try to view them through an ASP page, or spreadsheet .
The issue is that once the cubes are built, we can view them, process them and go run some MDX queries and it's all good.
A few days later when we try to use an ASP page to output the cube to the intranet, we realized that we needed to add permissions to the cube roles so we can access it through the ASP page, and when we go to the Cube Roles it gives us a bunch of errors and all of a sudden either the cubes aren't there anymore or the sources aren't there anymore, or we get an error about a Lock thing...
example of an error: 1-"Arguments are of the wrong type, are out of range, or are in conflict with one another" This happened when I went to open Data Sources.
2- When I try to add a role to a cube "Cannot add role 'all' to cube 'ecomm_trans_week'. Error: An unexpected internal error has occurred. Please restart the application."
My questions are: has this ever happened to you guys before, and if you know why it happens and how to avoid it.
Please let us know of any ideas or thoughts you might have.

Are you running SP2 for Analysis Services?

yes we have sp2 installed

I have faced a similar situation, it was solved when I reinstalled SP2 and restarted the system.
