Hello,
I have a full backup on weekend and Differential backup on weekdays. Every night it is backed up into tape.
My concern is: There is only one differential backup file. I just observered it after mapping to the drive on the folder. Should'nt I be seeing different day's differential backups (one for each weekday) with date extension? Even though we have tape bakups for the night I can go to that file and restore (if it comes to it) but I feel its a little freaky? Please help me sort this out.

How are you generating the differential? If you dont supply a unique filename it will either append or overwrite the existing file, depending on options set.
